Cho Lon

some kind of truth is out there
many half-truths to sift through

 by quiet water
 crimson neon in the mist
“Eat at Joe’s”

green, yellow, red night passes
and now morning chai beckons

young Ma brings me fish and lime
hot feast to see in the day

down and out, Cho Lon
hepo rolls, persistent clap
book a ticket home

shadow-box with alley cats
staccato dance out of time

  1. Great visuals in the poem! The graphic reminds me of a frozen lake in Alaska. Very effective, overall!
